Philosophy

The philosophy of Cantina Coopertaiva Vignaioli del Morellino di Scansano is today, as ever, concentrated not only on the quality of its wines and on the always convenient prices, but also on all the people who take part in the production. In fact, these aspects reinforce each other. The fundamental conditions to obtain excellent products depend, after all, on the people who together contribute in its production, their motivation and the unique characteristics of a territory such as that surrounding Scansano.

Therefore, the winery has always been committed to stimulating  its members so that they work at their best and feel part of a team with a common objective, beyond the simple act of contributing with their grapes. This approach is put into practice through a programme of training courses, prizes and fines which today form a part of the internal regulations involving all members directly.

Moreover, the small scale of the average vineyard guarantees the work of one person every two hectares and therefore allows for greater attention and flexibility in following  the directions given by the winery’s agronomist throughout the year. This makes it possible for quality always to come first, for every wine, from the standard labels to the selections that come from the most particular vineyards, because this is the priority of each member of the winery.
